The life of an AVian is a lovely experience. The students get an opportunity of all-round growth, from academics to sports and cultural to social activities. The school hosts a number of events which electrifies and energises the inquisitive young minds, eager to learn more.

The management skills learnt during these events prepare them for the future to face the challenges with a stride.

  Academic program

The academic ethos of AV focuses on all round personality development of its students, encouraging them to utilise their talents to become value driven citizens of India.

Students are groomed to be independent thinkers, develop first class critical reading, writing and analytical skills, appreciate the value of research and be self-motivated and self-driven through a genuine love for the subject and not by rewards. Students are encouraged to develop a spirit of cooperation than competition. Respecting each other’s cultural backgrounds and religions are a crucial aspect in widening their perception of life.

 Co-curricular activities

AV believes in preparing students for future challenges of life. It is for this reason that the school offers a plethora of extra-curricular activities and hold meaningful events for students. Children are exposed to varied experiences to enable them to develop creativity and innovation, which motivate them to forge ahead on their independent paths.

 

A school assembly serves as a common platform for students to gather and share information. The assembly enables the students to shed their inhibitions of public speaking and develop self-confidence. It triggers the inner potential of each and every student.
 

All students of the school belong to one of the four houses – Agni, Jal, Prithvi and Vayu representing four elements of nature.
 

Values are guiding principles that shape our outlook, attitudes and conduct. Teachers at AV have pledged to instil moral values that present a true perspective for the development of any society or nation. The Value Education Program at AV aspires to stimulate reflection and introspection about issues that have moral and ethical relevance among students.
 

Education in today’s scenario aims at the holistic development of the child. The aim of this holistic development is only achievable with the pragmatic approach to education. Pragmatic approach imparts learning by doing and experiencing things.
 

The school believes that a healthy mind requires a healthy body to protect and nurture it. The three S – speed, strength and stamina are the driving forces for all AVians in any sports event. Our sports champions accept challenges at all levels, be it in-house or inter-school, Zonal, State, District or National level. They never deter from their principle and motto
– ‘Play Fair, Play Hard’.

The Annual Day is an important event of every school. It is a platform that enables us to showcase the talents of our students on a broader stage. Every child is encouraged to participate in a non-competitive, inspiring environment that develops self-expression, body awareness, social skills and joy.
 

The endeavour to achieve the goal of all round development of children meets its desired result only when we are able to generate an awareness of the diverse culture and varied heritage of our great nation. The cultural extravaganza named as Culfest, is an initiative to inculcate among students, the spirit of harmony through various cultural practices and traditions of the country.
 

The school has an inbuilt support system for the learners to adapt to the continuously evolving learning process. Faculty members comprising counselling professionals are a part of the team who constantly remain in touch with students of different capabilities to boost up their morale and confidence. Motivating the children has always been one of the prime duties of the school, which helps them to overcome any challenge that they may face in the learning process. The well-equipped and trained counsellors of the school make all efforts to do away with any kind of chasms left unattended on the way of acquiring life skills to explore the unexplored.
